Tobias Buckell is asking folks for links to photos of their workspaces, if they're so inclined. I'm in "gearing up to write" mode, and since the place has looked worse than it does now, I thought why not?

From many, many others:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t search around and look for the “coolest” book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.
"Over the next few days, Rudolf traveled with the cast around Leningrad on their chartered bus, something few Russians would have dared." Nureyev: His Life by Diane Solway.
I had no book on my desk at the time--I didn't think the dictionary counted, but maybe I'm wrong--so I reached behind me and grabbed. Couldn't use the first book I put my hands on because it (The Gashlycrumb Tinies) doesn't have 123 pages.
Damn, but Nureyev was incredible looking.
