gimme a break
This morning, I put the firescreen, vacuum cleaners, and bowling ball out on the curb, along with the unattractive pictures and an old cardboard trunk that dated from my college days.

A few hours later, a truck stopped, and the driver claimed the firescreen and vacuum cleaners for his own.

My father's tribe is legion.

::laughs:: We are indeed legion.

Last week I was driving the kids to school. Two doors down a neighbor had put out a framed and glassed poster. Some impressionistic artist. Not a bad print really. The frame & glass are worth nearly $100. And yes, I've got other things that I can put in said frame. So I made the kids jump out and toss it in the back of the car. They teased and ribbed me all the way to school. I passed on the lamp half a block down because it had broken petal shaped glass. But went back later before deeming it too bent up to be worth the trouble.

I'm no garage sale hound, but I've picked up a few treasures there too.

I live in a college town and posted on the general boards that I had a free college appropriate couch. Mustard yellow. Broken springs. It was gone in a day to a happy student.

Precycling is a wonderful thing.
