Allergies

...are kicking my ass this morning.

Honestly, I'm tempted to take the dryer brush and jam it in my ear right now to ease the itching.

Right side of my throat itches so it hurts. Feels swollen. Why only the right side? At least my nose itches on both sides.

I haven't felt like this for years.

Will be popping benedryl, for which I will pay later in the form of 'if I curl up under my desk, will anyone hear me snore?'

We had a freeze overnight. I hate to say it, but I would willingly/happily/Here! Catch! sacrifice the flowers if whatever is getting to me got wiped out as well.

Trees.

Grrrrr.

Makes it really hard to sit here and write up design docs.

I don't know what my problem is, but it hits me the worst when temps settle in the 70s. We had a few days of that last week, and things must have sprouted. It kills me. The most comfortable, dry, don't-even-need-a-jacket weather kicks my butt. If temps rise into the high 80s/90s, I'm dying, but my allergies ease up.

Ouch. Does loratadine work for you? Benedryl gets me stoned and then sleepy.

I will have to look it up in the PDR. In the past, when I've looked up OTC-used-to-be-prescription allergy meds, the article stated that 'the mechanism of action is not known.' I like to avoid those.

::looks up::

OK, it works like an antihistamine. I may have to check it out.

It’s the only antihistamine that doesn’t zonk me out. My wife has forbidden me to take Benadryl because that antihistamine just leaves me in a twilight state where I babble about whatever is going through my mind, which gets very weird indeed.
